Larvae
Larvae are the immature forms of certain animals, particularly insects, that undergo metamorphosis. They often look very different from their adult counterparts and have distinct characteristics. For example, the larvae of a butterfly, known as a caterpillar, typically have a soft body and may feed on leaves, growing rapidly before transforming into a pupa.
In addition to insects, other animals like frogs and fish also have larval stages. These stages are crucial for growth and development, allowing the young organisms to feed and grow before they change into their adult forms. Larvae can be found in various environments, including water and soil.
