Larus Marinus
Larus marinus, commonly known as the great black-backed gull, is a large bird found along the coasts of North America and Europe. It has a distinctive black back and wings, white head and body, and a yellow bill with a red spot. This species is known for its impressive size, making it the largest gull in the world.
Great black-backed gulls primarily feed on fish, but they are opportunistic eaters and will scavenge for food, including carrion. They are often seen near coastal areas, harbors, and dumps, where they can find a variety of food sources.
