Larry Doby
Larry Doby was an American professional baseball player, best known for being the first African American to play in the American League. He made his debut with the Cleveland Indians on July 5, 1947, just a few months after Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier in the National League. Doby was a talented center fielder and a powerful hitter, contributing significantly to his team's success.
Throughout his career, Doby was selected to the All-Star team multiple times and helped the Indians win the World Series in 1948. After retiring as a player, he became a coach and manager, further influencing the game and paving the way for future generations of players.
