Lapua Movement
The Lapua Movement was a Finnish political movement that emerged in the early 1920s. It was primarily composed of conservative and nationalist groups who opposed the growing influence of socialism and communism in Finland. The movement gained significant support among rural populations and aimed to promote traditional values and national unity.
The Lapua Movement is best known for its militant actions, including protests and demonstrations against leftist groups. In 1932, the movement's influence peaked, leading to the enactment of the Emergency Powers Act. However, internal conflicts and government crackdowns eventually led to its decline by the late 1930s.
