Land Mine
A land mine is an explosive device designed to be placed on or just below the ground. It is triggered by pressure or a tripwire, detonating when someone steps on it or comes close. Land mines are often used in military conflicts to control territory and can remain dangerous long after a conflict has ended.
There are two main types of land mines: anti-personnel mines, which target individuals, and anti-tank mines, designed to destroy vehicles. The presence of land mines poses significant risks to civilians, leading to injuries and fatalities, and complicates post-conflict recovery efforts.
