Lamanites
The term "Lamanites" refers to a group of people mentioned in the Book of Mormon, a sacred text of the Latter-day Saint movement. According to the narrative, the Lamanites are descendants of Laman, one of the sons of Lehi, who left Jerusalem around 600 B.C. They are often depicted as being in conflict with the Nephites, another group descended from Lehi.
In the Book of Mormon, the Lamanites are characterized by their rejection of the teachings of the prophets and their opposition to the Nephites. Over time, they are described as having developed distinct cultural and societal traits, often portrayed as a more agrarian society compared to the Nephites, who were more urbanized and technologically advanced.
