Lake Gazivoda
Lake Gazivoda is a large artificial lake located in the northern part of Kosovo. It was created in the 1970s by damming the Ibar River and serves as a crucial water supply for the region. The lake is surrounded by picturesque landscapes and is a popular spot for fishing and recreational activities.
The lake has a surface area of approximately 11 square kilometers and is situated at an elevation of about 500 meters above sea level. It plays an important role in local ecology and supports various species of fish and wildlife, contributing to the biodiversity of the area.
