Lake Delhi
Lake Delhi is a reservoir located in Delaware County, Iowa. It was created in the 1920s by damming the Maquoketa River, providing recreational opportunities such as fishing, boating, and swimming.
The lake covers approximately 400 acres and has a maximum depth of around 30 feet. In 2010, heavy flooding caused significant damage to the dam, leading to the lake's drainage. Efforts have since been made to restore the area, and the community continues to work towards revitalizing Lake Delhi for future generations.
