Lake Conroe
Lake Conroe is a large, man-made reservoir located in Montgomery County, Texas. It was created in 1973 by the construction of the Lake Conroe Dam on the West Fork of the San Jacinto River. The lake covers approximately 21,000 acres and has a maximum depth of about 70 feet, making it a popular destination for boating, fishing, and other water activities.
Surrounded by scenic landscapes, Lake Conroe is also home to several parks and recreational areas, including Lake Livingston State Park and Sam Houston National Forest. The area attracts both residents and tourists, offering a variety of amenities such as restaurants, marinas, and vacation rentals.
