Lake Assal
Lake Assal is a saline lake located in Djibouti, near the border with Ethiopia. It is the lowest point in Djibouti and the second lowest point in Africa, sitting at approximately 155 meters below sea level. The lake is known for its high salinity, which is about ten times saltier than ocean water, making it one of the saltiest lakes in the world.
