Lady Mary Stewart
Lady Mary Stewart was a Scottish noblewoman born in 1542, known for her tumultuous life and reign as Queen of Scotland. She was the daughter of James V of Scotland and Mary of Guise, and she became queen when she was just six days old after her father's death. Her reign was marked by political intrigue, religious conflict, and her eventual imprisonment.
In 1567, after being forced to abdicate, she fled to England seeking protection from her cousin, Queen Elizabeth I. However, she was imprisoned for 19 years due to fears that she would claim the English throne. Lady Mary Stewart was executed in 1587, becoming a symbol of tragic royalty.
