LHRH
LHRH, or Luteinizing Hormone-Releasing Hormone, is a hormone produced in the hypothalamus of the brain. It plays a crucial role in regulating the reproductive system by stimulating the pituitary gland to release luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). These hormones are essential for the development of eggs in females and sperm in males.
LHRH is also involved in the menstrual cycle and the onset of puberty. In medical treatments, synthetic forms of LHRH are used to manage conditions like prostate cancer and endometriosis by controlling hormone levels in the body.
