LDS theology
LDS theology, or the theology of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, centers on the belief in God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost as distinct beings united in purpose. It emphasizes the importance of personal revelation, the Book of Mormon as scripture alongside the Bible, and the concept of eternal progression, where individuals can become more like God through obedience and faith.
Central to LDS theology is the plan of salvation, which outlines the purpose of life, the role of Jesus Christ in atonement, and the potential for eternal families. Members believe in the importance of temples for sacred ordinances and the practice of baptism for the dead, reflecting their commitment to both the living and the deceased.
