LCD Backlighting
LCD backlighting is a technology used in LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) screens to illuminate the display. Since LCD screens do not emit light on their own, backlighting is essential for making images and text visible. The most common types of backlighting are LED (Light Emitting Diode) and CCFL (Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp), with LED being more energy-efficient and providing better color contrast.
The backlighting system is typically placed behind or around the edges of the LCD panel. This setup allows the light to pass through the liquid crystals, which manipulate the light to create images. Proper backlighting enhances the overall viewing experience by improving brightness and color accuracy.
