LATCH system
The LATCH system is a method used to secure child safety seats in vehicles. LATCH stands for Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children. It simplifies the installation process by providing designated anchors in the car, allowing parents to attach the seat without using seat belts.
The system consists of two lower anchors located in the vehicle's seat and a top tether strap that connects to an anchor point behind the seat. This design helps ensure that the child safety seat is properly secured, enhancing the safety of children while traveling in a vehicle.
