L'Isle-Verte Lighthouse
L'Isle-Verte Lighthouse is located on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River in Quebec, Canada. Built in 1809, it is one of the oldest lighthouses in the region. The lighthouse stands at a height of 20 meters and features a distinctive white tower with a red lantern. It was designed to guide ships navigating the river, ensuring safe passage through the area.
The lighthouse is part of the L'Isle-Verte National Wildlife Area, which is home to diverse wildlife and natural habitats. Although it is no longer an active lighthouse, it remains a historical landmark and a popular site for visitors interested in maritime history and scenic views of the river.
