Lérins Islands
The Lérins Islands are a group of four islands located off the coast of Cannes, in the French Riviera. The two main islands, Île Sainte-Marguerite and Île Saint-Honorat, are known for their natural beauty, historical sites, and tranquil atmosphere. Visitors can explore lush forests, sandy beaches, and ancient monasteries.
Île Sainte-Marguerite is famous for the Fort Royal, which once imprisoned the Man in the Iron Mask. Île Saint-Honorat is home to a still-active monastery, where monks produce wine and liqueurs. The islands are accessible by ferry and are popular destinations for day trips and outdoor activities.
