Kusumagraj
Kusumagraj, born as Vishnu Sakharam Khandekar in 1912, was a prominent Indian poet, novelist, and playwright in the Marathi language. He is best known for his literary contributions that reflect the socio-political landscape of Maharashtra. His works often explore themes of love, nature, and human emotions, earning him a significant place in Marathi literature.
Kusumagraj received several awards for his writing, including the prestigious Jnanpith Award in 1974. His notable works include the novel Yayati and the play Natsamrat, which have been adapted into films and continue to be celebrated in Indian literature and theater.
