Krisztina Egerszegi
Krisztina Egerszegi is a retired Hungarian swimmer, widely regarded as one of the greatest female swimmers in history. Born on August 16, 1974, she specialized in backstroke events and won a total of three Olympic gold medals during her career, competing in the 1992, 1996, and 2000 Summer Olympics.
Egerszegi set multiple world records and was known for her exceptional technique and speed in the water. She was the first female swimmer to win the same event at three consecutive Olympics, achieving this feat in the 200-meter backstroke.
