Krampus
Krampus is a mythical creature from Central European folklore, particularly associated with Christmas. Traditionally depicted as a horned, anthropomorphic figure, Krampus is said to punish misbehaving children, contrasting with the benevolent figure of Saint Nicholas, who rewards the good ones.
Celebrated on the night of December 5th, known as Krampusnacht, people often dress up as Krampus and participate in parades and festivities. The legend serves as a cautionary tale, reminding children to behave during the holiday season, as Krampus is believed to take naughty children away in his sack.
