Kosciuszko Uprising
The Kosciuszko Uprising was a national revolt in Poland that took place in 1794, led by Tadeusz Kościuszko. It aimed to secure Poland's independence and reform its government in response to the partitions of Poland by Russia, Prussia, and Austria. The uprising was marked by significant battles, including the Battle of Racławice, where Polish forces achieved a notable victory.
Despite initial successes, the uprising faced overwhelming opposition from the partitioning powers. By November 1794, the rebellion was crushed, leading to the final partition of Poland. The Kosciuszko Uprising is remembered as a symbol of Polish resistance and the struggle for national sovereignty.
