Koromantyn language
The Koromantyn language is a member of the Kwa branch of the Niger-Congo language family. It is primarily spoken by the Koromantyn people, who are descendants of enslaved Africans brought to the Americas, particularly in the Caribbean. The language has roots in the Akan languages, which are spoken in present-day Ghana.
Koromantyn is not widely spoken today and is considered endangered. It has influenced various Caribbean languages and cultures, especially in regions where the descendants of the Koromantyn people reside. Efforts to preserve and revitalize the language are ongoing among communities and linguists.
