Kornati Islands
The Kornati Islands are a stunning archipelago located in the Adriatic Sea, off the coast of Croatia. This group consists of around 89 islands, islets, and reefs, making it one of the densest archipelagos in the Mediterranean. The islands are known for their rugged beauty, featuring steep cliffs, crystal-clear waters, and diverse marine life.
Designated as a national park in 1980, the Kornati National Park protects the unique ecosystems and natural landscapes of the islands. Visitors can enjoy activities such as sailing, hiking, and snorkeling, while the area remains largely uninhabited, preserving its natural charm and tranquility.
