Korean Workers' Party
The Korean Workers' Party (KWP) is the founding and ruling political party of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, commonly known as North Korea. Established in 1945, it plays a central role in the country's governance and ideology, promoting the principles of Juche, or self-reliance. The party is led by the Supreme Leader, currently Kim Jong-un, and has a significant influence on all aspects of North Korean life.
The KWP operates under a one-party system, meaning no other political parties are allowed to compete for power. It organizes various mass organizations and mobilizes citizens to support its policies. The party's structure includes a central committee and a politburo, which make key decisions regarding the nation's direction and policies.
