Korean Sign Language
Korean Sign Language (KSL) is the primary sign language used by the Deaf community in South Korea. It has its own unique grammar and vocabulary, distinct from spoken Korean. KSL is used for communication among Deaf individuals and is an essential part of their culture and identity.
KSL has evolved over time, influenced by various factors, including regional dialects and the introduction of new signs. The language is recognized by the government, and efforts are ongoing to promote its use and improve accessibility for the Deaf community in Korea.
