Korean Lunar Exploration Program
The Korean Lunar Exploration Program is an initiative by South Korea aimed at exploring the Moon. It includes a series of missions designed to gather scientific data, test new technologies, and enhance the country's capabilities in space exploration. The program's first mission, Korea Pathfinder Lunar Orbiter (KPLO), is set to launch in 2022 to study the lunar surface and gather information for future missions.
In addition to the KPLO, the program plans to send a lunar lander by 2030. This lander will aim to conduct experiments and search for resources on the Moon. The overall goal is to contribute to global lunar exploration efforts and establish South Korea as a significant player in space science.
