Korean Bronze Age
The Korean Bronze Age, which lasted from around 1000 BCE to 300 BCE, marked a significant period in Korean prehistory. This era is characterized by the introduction of bronze tools and weapons, which improved agricultural practices and warfare. The development of social hierarchies and the establishment of early states also occurred during this time.
Archaeological sites, such as those in the Gyeongju region, reveal the existence of large burial mounds known as tumuli, where elite individuals were interred with bronze artifacts. The Bronze Age laid the foundation for the later Three Kingdoms period, influencing the cultural and technological advancements in Korea.
