Korean Basketball Organization
The Korean Basketball Organization (KBO) is the governing body for professional basketball in South Korea. Established in 1997, it oversees the operations of the Korean Basketball League (KBL), which is the top professional basketball league in the country. The KBO is responsible for organizing games, setting rules, and promoting the sport at various levels.
The KBL features several teams, including popular franchises like the Seoul SK Knights and the Incheon ET Land Elephants. The league typically runs from October to April, culminating in playoffs to determine the champion.
