Kookaburras
Kookaburras are large, carnivorous birds native to Australia and New Guinea. They belong to the kingfisher family and are known for their distinctive laughing call, which can be heard at dawn and dusk. These birds primarily feed on insects, small reptiles, and small mammals, using their strong beaks to catch prey.
There are four species of kookaburras, with the most well-known being the laughing kookaburra. Kookaburras typically live in pairs or family groups and prefer open woodlands and forests. They are often seen perched on tree branches, where they watch for food and communicate with their loud calls.
