Kookaburra
The Kookaburra is a large bird native to Australia and New Guinea, known for its distinctive call that resembles laughter. It belongs to the kingfisher family and is easily recognized by its stout body, large head, and long beak. Kookaburras primarily feed on insects, small reptiles, and other small animals, often hunting from a perch.
There are four species of kookaburras, with the most famous being the Laughing Kookaburra. These birds are social and often found in family groups, where they communicate with their iconic calls. Kookaburras play an important role in their ecosystems by controlling insect populations.
