Kongō Class
The Kongō Class is a series of guided-missile destroyers used by the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF). Commissioned in the late 1990s, these ships are known for their advanced Aegis combat system, which allows them to track and engage multiple targets simultaneously. The class includes four ships: Kongō, Kirishima, Myoko, and Chōkai.
These destroyers are designed for various roles, including air defense, anti-surface warfare, and anti-submarine operations. They are equipped with vertical launch systems for missiles, advanced radar, and sophisticated sensors, making them versatile assets in modern naval warfare.
