Kona Coffee Belt
The Kona Coffee Belt is a region on the western side of the Big Island of Hawaii known for its ideal conditions for growing high-quality coffee. This area benefits from rich volcanic soil, a mild climate, and ample rainfall, which together create the perfect environment for coffee cultivation.
The belt stretches approximately 30 miles along the slopes of Mauna Loa, where coffee farms thrive at elevations between 1,000 and 3,000 feet. Kona coffee is highly regarded for its smooth flavor and aromatic qualities, making it one of the most sought-after coffees in the world.
