Komsomol
The Komsomol, or All-Union Leninist Young Communist League, was a political youth organization in the former Soviet Union. Founded in 1918, it aimed to promote communist ideology among young people aged 14 to 28. The Komsomol played a significant role in mobilizing youth for various state initiatives, including education, labor, and military service.
Members of the Komsomol were expected to participate in community service and support the goals of the Communist Party. The organization also provided opportunities for social and cultural activities, fostering a sense of camaraderie among its members. The Komsomol was dissolved in 1991 following the collapse of the Soviet Union.
