Knights Of The Garter
The Order of the Garter is the oldest and most prestigious order of chivalry in England, founded in 1348 by King Edward III. It honors those who have made significant contributions to the nation and the monarchy. Members, known as Knights of the Garter, wear a distinctive blue garter and participate in ceremonial events, including an annual service at St. George's Chapel in Windsor.
The order consists of the sovereign and a limited number of knights, traditionally 24, plus additional royal members. The Garter symbolizes loyalty and bravery, reflecting the values of knighthood and service to the crown.
