Klimov VK-1
The Klimov VK-1 is a Soviet turbojet engine developed in the late 1940s. It was based on the design of the British Rolls-Royce Nene engine and was one of the first jet engines produced in the Soviet Union. The VK-1 was primarily used in various aircraft, including the Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15, which became famous during the Korean War.
This engine features a single-shaft design and has a thrust output of approximately 3,000 pounds. The VK-1 played a significant role in advancing Soviet aviation technology and contributed to the development of subsequent engines in the Klimov family.
