Klein-Levine Syndrome
Klein-Levine Syndrome, also known as Klein-Levine syndrome, is a rare neurological disorder characterized by recurrent episodes of excessive sleepiness, often lasting for days or weeks. During these episodes, individuals may sleep for up to 20 hours a day and experience confusion, irritability, and changes in appetite.
The exact cause of Klein-Levine Syndrome is not well understood, but it is believed to involve dysfunction in the hypothalamus, the part of the brain that regulates sleep and wakefulness. The condition primarily affects young males, and while it can improve over time, there is currently no known cure.
