Kipchak peoples
The Kipchak peoples are a group of Turkic nomadic tribes that historically inhabited the steppes of Central Asia and Eastern Europe. They played a significant role in the formation of various states and empires, particularly during the medieval period. The Kipchaks are known for their horse-riding skills and pastoral lifestyle, which allowed them to adapt to the vast grasslands.
In the 13th century, the Kipchaks became part of the Mongol Empire and later influenced the formation of the Golden Horde. Their language, known as Kipchak, is a branch of the Turkic language family and has contributed to the development of several modern Turkic languages.
