Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes
The Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes was established in 1918 after World War I, uniting the South Slavic peoples of the former Austro-Hungarian Empire. It aimed to create a single state for the Serbs, Croats, and Slovenes, promoting national unity and cooperation among these groups.
In 1929, the kingdom was renamed the Kingdom of Yugoslavia to reflect its diverse population. The government faced challenges, including ethnic tensions and political instability, which ultimately contributed to its dissolution during World War II. The kingdom's legacy continues to influence the region's political landscape today.
