Kingdom of Redonda
The Kingdom of Redonda is a small, uninhabited island located in the Caribbean Sea, part of the Lesser Antilles. It is a territory of the nation of Antigua and Barbuda. The island is known for its rugged terrain and steep cliffs, making it difficult to access.
In the late 19th century, the island was claimed as a kingdom by Matthew Dowdy Shiell, who declared himself king. Since then, various individuals have claimed the title of king or queen, often as a literary or artistic endeavor. The kingdom has no official government or recognized sovereignty.
