Kingdom of Lan Xang
The Kingdom of Lan Xang was a historical kingdom in Southeast Asia, established in the 14th century. It is located in present-day Laos and was known for its rich culture and significant trade routes. The kingdom was founded by Fa Ngum, who united various tribes and established a centralized government.
Lan Xang flourished until the 18th century, when it faced internal strife and external pressures. The kingdom was divided into three principalities: Luang Prabang, Vientiane, and Champasak. Despite its decline, Lan Xang's legacy continues to influence the culture and history of modern Laos.
