King Songtsen Gampo
King Songtsen Gampo was the 33rd king of the Yarlung Dynasty in Tibet, reigning during the 7th century. He is credited with unifying Tibet and establishing it as a powerful kingdom. His reign marked the beginning of the Tibetan Empire, which expanded significantly under his leadership.
Songtsen Gampo is also known for introducing Buddhism to Tibet. He married two influential princesses, Bhrikuti of Nepal and Wencheng of China, who played key roles in promoting the religion. His efforts laid the foundation for the spread of Buddhism, which became a central aspect of Tibetan culture and identity.
