King Malcolm IV
King Malcolm IV was the King of Scotland from 1153 until his death in 1165. He became king at a young age, around 12 years old, after the death of his grandfather, King David I. Malcolm was known for his piety and efforts to promote the church, which included supporting the establishment of monasteries.
During his reign, Malcolm IV faced challenges from the English crown and internal conflicts among the Scottish nobility. Despite his efforts to maintain peace, his reign was marked by struggles for power. He died without heirs, leading to the ascension of his brother, William the Lion, as the next king.
