King Louis XII
King Louis XII was the King of France from 1498 until his death in 1515. He was known as the "Father of the People" for his efforts to improve the lives of his subjects. Louis XII focused on reforming the legal system and promoting economic growth. He also expanded French territories through military campaigns, particularly in Italy.
Louis XII was married to Anne of Brittany, which helped to unite the duchy of Brittany with the French crown. His reign is often noted for its relative peace and stability, setting the stage for the future successes of his successor, Francis I.
