King Dasharatha
King Dasharatha is a significant figure in Hindu mythology, known primarily as the father of Lord Rama. He ruled the ancient kingdom of Ayodhya and is a central character in the epic Ramayana. Dasharatha is depicted as a wise and just king, deeply devoted to his family and kingdom.
Dasharatha faced a profound personal challenge when he was unable to have children for many years. Eventually, he performed a sacred ritual that granted him three sons: Rama, Lakshmana, and Shatrughna. His love for Rama and the events that followed shaped the narrative of the Ramayana, highlighting themes of duty, sacrifice, and righteousness.
