King Buyelekhaya Dalindyebo
King Buyelekhaya Dalindyebo is the current king of the Thembu people in South Africa. He was born on December 5, 1964, and ascended to the throne in 1992. His reign has been marked by efforts to promote the cultural heritage and traditions of the Thembu nation.
In 2015, King Dalindyebo was sentenced to 12 years in prison for various crimes, including kidnapping and assault. After serving part of his sentence, he was released on parole in 2019. Despite his legal challenges, he remains a significant figure in the Eastern Cape province and continues to engage with his community.
