King Alexander I
King Alexander I was the ruler of Yugoslavia from 1921 until his assassination in 1934. He was born on December 16, 1888, and became king after the death of his father, King Peter I. Alexander aimed to unify the diverse ethnic groups within his kingdom and promote a sense of national identity.
During his reign, Alexander implemented various reforms to modernize the country and strengthen its economy. However, his rule faced challenges, including political unrest and opposition from various factions. His efforts to centralize power ultimately led to his assassination in Marseille, France, on October 9, 1934.
