Khitan Script
The Khitan Script is an ancient writing system used by the Khitan people, who lived in what is now northern China during the Liao Dynasty (907-1125 AD). This script was developed to write the Khitan language, which is now extinct. The Khitan Script consists of two main forms: the large script, used for official documents, and the small script, used for everyday writing.
The Khitan language and its script were influenced by neighboring cultures, including Chinese and Mongolian. Despite its historical significance, the Khitan Script remains largely undeciphered, making it a subject of interest for linguists and historians studying the region's past.
