Khana Ratsadon
Khana Ratsadon, also known as the People's Party, was a political movement in Thailand that emerged in the early 20th century. Founded in 1932, it played a crucial role in the transition from an absolute monarchy to a constitutional monarchy. The party aimed to promote democracy and modernize the Thai political system.
The movement was led by a group of military officers and intellectuals who sought to reduce the power of the monarchy and establish a parliamentary system. Khana Ratsadon successfully staged a coup in June 1932, which marked a significant turning point in Thai history, leading to the drafting of the first constitution.
