Kenya Defence Forces
The Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) is the military organization responsible for defending the Republic of Kenya. It consists of three main branches: the Kenya Army, the Kenya Navy, and the Kenya Air Force. The KDF is tasked with protecting the nation's sovereignty, supporting civil authorities, and participating in peacekeeping missions.
Established in 1963, the KDF operates under the Ministry of Defence and is guided by the Constitution of Kenya. The forces are involved in various operations, including counter-terrorism efforts and humanitarian assistance during disasters. The KDF also collaborates with international military organizations for training and joint exercises.
