Kenya's roads
Kenya's roads consist of a mix of paved and unpaved surfaces, with approximately 63,000 kilometers of road network. The main highways connect major cities like Nairobi, Mombasa, and Kisumu, facilitating trade and travel across the country.
However, many rural areas still rely on earth roads, which can become impassable during the rainy season. The government has been investing in road improvements to enhance connectivity and support economic growth, particularly through initiatives like the Kenya National Highways Authority.
